05.04.2016
Přerov, 5 April 2016 – Today, the Railway Infrastructure Administration festively completed safety equipment modernisation on the line Břeclav – Brno. This project had as main objective an increase of operation safety on the railway by limiting the human factor influence and by introducing remote control for safety equipment (DOZ).
”Construction works in the section Břeclav – Brno present an asset for many reasons. Installation of remote control for safety equipment and further modernisation will improve operative control, increase safety on the line and decrease its operation costs as well“, said Mr Pavel Surý, Director General of the Railway Infrastructure Administration about the construction’s assets.
Besides introducing remote control for safety equipment, the modernisation assured the installation of further technological equipment control on Czech Rail Transit Corridor I in the line section Lanžhot – Břeclav (outside) – Brno (outside). The traffic control centre for the line section controlled in this way is situated in the Traffic Control Centre building Přerov.
At separate railway stations and stops, internal technological equipment was adapted for the remote control option. The construction also included the installation of a camera system and information equipment, a completion of transfer equipment and adaptations of switches’ electrical heating. Builders also added new cables in the above-mentioned line section.
