Datel: Guide for a carefree train ride

After six months of testing, Správa železnic is launching the Datel (Woodpecker) mobile application, a useful assistant not only for summer train travels. Thanks to user feedback, the application is now clearer, easier to use and includes a number of new features. It is freely available in the App Store and Google Play.

The Datel mobile application, which Správa železnic published in a pilot version at the end of last year, is now going live with a new update. This brings several new features, from a smart display of emergency incidents to a list of affected connections or train routes.

Datel follows up the Interactive Map of Správa železnic with its functions. Thanks to the native mobile application, however, all important information about the Czech railway network is easily at hand, for example in the form of notifications. Passengers and rail fans will find information on all passenger trains, departure boards, an overview of services available at stations and details of railway construction. There is also an information service about current emergency incidents in operation. The possibility of logging into the mobile app and the web-based Interactive Map under one user account is also a simplification.
