Provision of environmental protection at Správa železnic organizational units

Functions of organizational units in environmental protection (some organizational units, not all domains are represented):

• water management – water supply and waste water collection, preparation and updates of emergency plans, operation and handling regulations and co-operation in preparation of flood management plans; addressing leak emergencies
• air protection (boiler houses and technologies) – maintaining the EisProW SW registry, fulfilling regular reporting and notification duties towards state administration
• waste management – production and transfer monitoring of hazardous waste and other waste generated (performing the function of a waste manager in compliance with Waste Management Act), maintaining the EisProW SW registry, fulfilling regular reporting and notification duty towards state administration
• nature and landscape protection (green areas maintenance, weed control – provision of inputs and communication with state administration)
• public health protection (noise and vibrations)
• In addition to this, the following is included:
  • submission of comments on construction documentation and technologies, co-operation in implementation of investments with an environmental impact
  • training employees in environmental protection
  • control function and design of improvement measures
