Underpass will be built instead of four-track level crossing in Studénka
Správa železnic will replace another level crossing on the corridor line, it has currently announced a tender for the contractor of the underpass in Studénka. It will be designed for cars, vehicles of the integrated rescue system, cyclists and pedestrians. A new service road will be built for trucks. The construction itself is planned to start next spring and the underpass will be operational at the end of 2026.
The aim of the construction is to replace the four-track level crossing located directly at Studénka station. It will be replaced by an underpass with a total length of 26.5 metres and a width of 12.3 metres. It will consist of three mutually separated parts: a lane for road vehicles, a cycle lane and a pavement. The ramps connecting to the underpass at both ends will be similarly divided.
Trucks will use the new service road from the D1 motorway via Butovická Street to the industrial premises.
Správa železnic has already obtained all the final permits to start the works. The purchase of the necessary land and real estate is almost complete, the last two contracts remain to be signed.
The highest admissible tender price is CZK 868,047,240.
